What is Automatic Data removal?

Just that - Lumoa has the ability to automatically delete data after certain time period conditions are met. As an example, Lumoa could, each day, automatically delete data that is older than two years before the current day.

How does it work?

This automatic data removal is done on a per company basis, not a per collection basis. Meaning if you want to take automatic data removal into use, it would have to be for ALL of your data. You could not set automatic data removal for just the NPS data in your account, and avoid targeting CSAT data.

Additionally, automatic data removal is done based on the "date" that is associated with each feedback, NOT on the date that the feedback was submitted to Lumoa.

Here are some examples time periods for how data could be removed

  1. TWO_YEARS - Each day, Lumoa will delete any data that is older than the current year + 2 years

  2. MONTHS_3 - Each day, Lumoa will delete any data that is older than the current month + 3 months

  3. DAY_30 - Each day, Lumoa will delete any data that is older than 30 days from today

The default time period that automatic data removal will work on is the current year, plus two years. So as an example, if today is December 1st, 2024, the automatic data removal will have removed data from before 2022. Then, as it becomes January 1st 2025, the automatic data removal will remove data for 2022, and no further removal will occur until 2026, as we look at the current year + two years.

How can I start using automatic data removal?

Since this is a feature that involves deleting data at a company level, for your safety, Lumoa employees are the only ones that can turn on or off this feature. Please contact your CS manager or email [email protected] in order to get more information.
