How does the acquisition affect me as a Lumoa customer?

After the acquisition, not much will change in your relationship with Lumoame Oy and Lumoa services. Your contract will remain valid and will continue to be with Lumoame Oy. Lumoa platform will also be accessible at the usual URL, the integrations you have active will continue to work, and your data will continue to be stored according to Lumoa’s data storage policy and what we have contractually agreed with you. Also, the people you are used to work with at Lumoa will be the same.

Do we need to do something on our side?

No, there is no action that you need to take following the acquisition.

Does the support email stay the same?

You can still get support for Lumoa by contacting [email protected]. Also, your assigned Customer Success Manager does not change as a result of the acquisition.

Do we need another contract? Do we need to renegotiate/renew contracts?

No, the contract in effect with Lumoame Oy will still be valid after the acquisition. Lumoame Oy will continue as an active company in the Finnish Trade Register (kaupparekisteri).

Will Lumoa continue to have office in Helsinki / Finland?

Yes, Lumoame Oy will continue to be an active Finnish company with headquarters in Finland, in the Helsinki area.

Will our data still be stored in EU/ETA?

Yes, your customers’ data will continue to be stored in EU/ETA as before the acquisition, and Lumoame Oy continues to be bound by the agreements made with our customers and partners. The full list of sub-processors can be found here, and we will continue to inform you of any possible future changes when needed.

Are you going to merge the UI of Lumoa and Netigate?

We will be working gradually to integrate Lumoa and Netigate products, so that they will provide a seamless experience for customers who use both. For example, it will soon be possible to bring data from Netigate to Lumoa via a simple one-click integration.

Why are you selling Lumoa?

Lumoa was funded in 2016 to empower every employee to make the right decision based on the Voice of the Customers. We have come a long way from the first initial prototype, and throughout the years we have raised the interest of a variety of companies and funds who have wanted to acquire us.

We are doing this now, because the buyer (Netigate) is the perfect match for us, and because we will get additional resources to deliver on our mission. We still have a lot to do. We believe we are now better equipped to deliver.

What’s in it for me as a Lumoa customer or partner?

We believe Lumoa customers and partners will greatly benefit from this acquisition. We are now the leading European experience management platform, and this means a few things for you and your organization.

First, a wider portfolio of products that can help you complement Lumoa. Specifically:

  • Netigate Feedback is a deep and solid surveying platform – something many of you have asked us to deliver for some time now.

  • Netigate Engage is a platform dedicated to Employee Experience and Engagement – and we all know, there is no happy customer without happy employees.

  • Netigate Consulting is a team of expert consultants in both customer and employee experience management.

Then, more R&D capabilities to continue and accelerate the development of Lumoa, and of every aspect of it that is already bringing you value (including the Generative AI features we have launched in the past year).

And finally, an even stronger focus on safety and compliance when it comes to customer data processing and AI tools.

Is “person X” leaving the company? Will our Customer Success manager still be “person X”? Can I still reach out to “person X” directly?

People who have been working at Lumoa before the acquisition will continue to work at Lumoa. The people you have been interacting with so far (e.g., sales representatives, partner managers, support agents, customer success managers) will be the same even after the acquisition.

Nothing changes for you as a result of this acquisition.

Can I still be sending e-mails to @lumoa.me?

Yes, the contact details of people working at Lumoa remain the same for the time being. Eventually, the email address might change, and when that will happen, you will be informed in due time. In any case, no communication sent to a @lumoa.me email address will be lost.

Will your support stay as agile?

Yes, both Lumoa and Netigate pride themselves of being customer focused organisations, and we will continue to listen to customers feedback and ideas to develop our respective products further.

Can we continue sending data to Lumoa?

Yes. There are no changes in Lumoa services, in the technology, in the infrastructure, or in the APIs. We continue to process data according to security and privacy policies that we have committed to in the contract.

Will the integrations continue to work?

Yes, integrations will continue to work normally, and there is no action that needs to be taken by your integration team.

Do I need to inform our security or privacy team? Is there a need to do the privacy/security review again?

No. Lumoa services remain the same, we continue processing data the same way as we did before the acquisition and the list of subprocessors does not change because of the acquisition. In short, what was agreed with each of Lumoa’s customers and partners does not change.

On top of that, we will continue to deliver our promise to store customer data securely in the EU.

Should there be changes in the future, we will continue to inform about them as we have done so far.

Will the next invoice come from Lumoa or Netigate?

Your next invoice will come from Lumoame Oy, as it has happened so far. Should there be any changes in the future, you will be informed well in advance.

How will the prices change after the acquisition? Will you raise the prices because of the wider product offering?

Prices will not change, or be raised, because of the acquisition.

With Netigate, we can now offer a wider range of products and services, particularly when it comes to surveying. Should you decide to purchase Netigate products or services, those will be a separate cost.

If we change surveys from Lumoa to Netigate, can we keep the exisiting data and combine it with new Netigate survey data?

Yes, the existing data will remain in Lumoa, unless you wish the old data to be removed. The new surveys in Netigate can be designed so that data models match, and therefore both your old and new survey data can be in Lumoa.

Are surveys currently offered by Lumoa replaced with Netigate surveys?

Nothing will be replaced without us discussing it with you first. If you would like to start using Netigate surveys as soon as possible, or if you are interested in moving your existing surveys to Netigate, be in touch with your Customer Success Manager.

Will SurveyHero surveys be replaced by Netigate surveys?

Nothing will be replaced without us discussing it with you first. Eventually, we would like to transition most customers to the superior Netigate surveying solution, but the decision will never be taken unilaterally, and you will eventually decide.

What if I am already using Netigate surveys?

Nothing changes, a part that we are strengthening and simplifying the integration between Netigate and Lumoa, so everything will flow even more smoothly after the acquisition.

Netigate has offices in several countries. Can we now get Swedish / German / other language speaking Customer Success Manager? Can we get training/support for Lumoa on a language different than English?

While this is certainly a possibility for the future, we do not expect this to happen right after the acquisition. If this is something you are interested in, we recommend informing your current Customer Success Manager about it.

What will happen to the Lumoa brand?

Lumoame Oy will continue as an active company in the Finnish Trade Register (kaupparekisteri). Lumoa as a customer experience management platform will still be available after the acquisition, and you will be able to access it as you have done so far. For what concerns the Lumoa brand, it will be gradually integrated in the Netigate brand, and initially you will be hearing about “Netigate (feat. Lumoa)” and “Lumoa part of Netigate”. What will happen to the Lumoa brand after the initial period is something that our marketing magicians are in the process of figuring out.

I got an offer for Lumoa services from Lumoa. Is the offer still valid after the acquisition?

Yes, the offer for Lumoa services is still valid after the acquisition.

We have been partners of Lumoa for a few years. Will this impact our partnership or the commissions we get?

No, the partnership agreement remains in effect, as agreed and signed. We believe this is a terrific opportunity for our partners, as we can now start providing deep surveying capabilities on top of the analytics.

You can find out more about Netigate products by visiting their website at: https://www.netigate.net/.

If you want to get a demo of Netigate’s products, be in touch with your Partner Manager and they will help you arrange it.

Is there already a common roadmap that we can see?

There is no public roadmap we can share. We will be working gradually to integrate Lumoa and Netigate products, so that they will provide a seamless experience for customers who use both. For example, it will soon be possible to bring data from Netigate to Lumoa via a simple one-click integration.

If you want to hear more about the acquisition and our plans, feel free to join the webinar on April 10th, at 4pm EET.

Do partners get a commission if they promote Netigates services?

This possibility will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Please, be in touch with your Partner Manager.

Netigate offers consulting services, how does this affect my existing relationship with Lumoa as partner who also offers CX consulting?

The acquisition of Lumoa by Netigate does not impact the partnership agreement that we have in place, nor the relationship we have established working together. Should there be any impact at any point in the future, your Partner Manager will inform you in due time.

How is Netigate different from the competition?

It is important to consider Netigate, together with Lumoa, as the new leading European experience management platform. As such, we are uniquely positioned to address the needs of European enterprises and companies when it comes to experience management – both customer and employee experience. We are GDPR compliant and ISO certified. And we understand the European market and legislation better than any other competitor.

On top of that, Netigate and Lumoa share similar values and approach to customer and employee experience management. We both believe that it is important to collect all sources of feedback in one place and analyse them to extract insights that people can act upon; we both believe that humans and technology should work together to increase efficiency and effectiveness; and we both believe that a great support to our customers is a strong way to differentiate ourselves.
