To create a Campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Campaign tab from the Survey Hub.

  2. On the bottom right of the page, hover over the plus button, and click New Campaign.

Selecting the right Campaign

There are currently three different types of campaigns to choose from, with more currently under development.

  • For a Link Survey, you can choose between Link and Email Campaigns.

  • For a Popup Survey, you need to create a Web Survey Campaign.

Link Campaign 🔗

Email Campaign ✉️

Web Survey Campaign 💻

This type of campaign is used for Link Survey and allows sending a survey wherever you want: your favorite CRM tools, social media channels, or integrations with a URL. No need to upload customer data to Lumoa.

If you just created a survey and want to preview how it looks, eg: check the colors, font, etc. we recommend you make a Link Campaign. If it does not look how you expected, surveys can be edited from the Surveys page.

This type of campaign is used for Link Survey and allows sending a survey to your customers directly through Lumoa email. Note that this requires you to have uploaded an audience first.

This type of campaign is used for Popup Survey, and will let you install your survey on any external website. After a code snippet installation, your survey will then appear on that website's page, and responses will flow to Lumoa.

Uploading Audience 👥

An Audience is a list of your customers that you upload to Lumoa. In this way, you can send a survey to the right group of customers - target audience, and view the responses, all on the same platform. To upload an audience, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Audience tab.

  2. On the bottom right of the page, hover over the plus button, and click Import Audience.

  3. Click Download to download our template with prefilled formatting.

  4. Click Import to import your audience data.

Please note that Audience Uploads in Excel require:

❗ Please note that Unique ID and Email fields require data to upload.

Unique ID 🆔

A unique identifier, that can be used to identify your customers. This can match what you have in your internal system (number, letter, etc).

Phone Number ☎️

Required for SMS surveys, but can be left blank otherwise.

*Please note that the header is mandatory for uploading, but this column can be left blank.*

Email ✉️

Emails of the customers you want to send the survey to.

Tags 🔖

Any background data on your customers. These tags can be targeted when sending an email. Tags should be in the same cell, separated by a comma. As an example, you can use tags to identify customers:
from a certain region "Japan",
from a certain business unit "B2B"
from a certain tier "Gold".
*Please note that the header is mandatory for uploading, but this column can be left blank.*

Language 🇫🇮 🇺🇲 🇸🇪

Language the customer speaks. Relevant for determining which language to be sent if you send a survey that contains multiple languages. This must be a two-letter code, such as "en" for English.
*Please note that the header is mandatory for uploading, but this column can be left blank.*

Once you've uploaded your audience, you can create an Email Survey Campaign that targets that specific Audience group, and delivers the exact message at the right time.

Translating Surveys

Once you've completed a Link Survey Campaign, you can translate that URL into another language, as long as that language was added when creating the Survey.

To translate a Survey, add ?lang=se / ?lang=fi / ?lang=en to the end of the URL depending on the language the survey is translated. Being Se = Swedish, Fi= Finnish, En=English, and so on.

Adding Tags to Email Survey Campaign 🔖

Note that Email Campaigns allow the use of Tags (background data) being added to the survey. We highly recommend you read about the technical documentation but essentially, if your survey URL is:

https://surveys.lumoa.me/garen-prod-test/survey-article

You can add any tags to the end of the URL that will then be applied to all feedback that gets passed through that survey:

https://surveys.lumoa.me/garen-prod-test/survey-article?country=japan&Touchpoint=B2B

The above link will add the tags "Country = Japan" and "Touchpoint=B2B" to all feedback that goes through the form. A screenshot of an example response from Lumoa can be seen below.

Viewing your Survey Data

Once you've created a Survey Campaign, you can view your customer feedback. To view your Survey data, follow these steps:

  1. On the bottom left-hand side, navigate to the Settings gear.

  2. From the top sidebar, go to Collections.

  3. Click on the : three dots from the left hand of the Collection where your Survey is stored.

  4. Click Create card in Dashboard. Learn how to create a Card.

❗ Note: If you can't remember in which Collection your Survey is stored, go back to the Survey page and click Edit on the left-hand side of the Survey. After that, under "Select Collection" you will see the Collection name.
